Venison Chili Spinach Salad

I recently was given 6 lbs. of ground venison from a charity, which was really nice because in some parts of Europe ground venison can cost up to €50.00 or more!

Some asked for the recipe, so here it is:

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 onion (cut)
  • 1/4 lbs. ground venison
  • 1 rinsed can of red kidney beans
  • As much fresh spinach as you can handle
  • Spices / Seasonings:
    • Chili powder
    • Cayenne pepper
    • Black pepper
    • Garlic (fresh or powdered, fresh is preferred)
    • Salad dressing of your choice (I used 3-cheese ranch dressing)
    • Ground or grated Parmesan cheese

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Melt butter in pan
  2. caramelize cut onion
  3. Spice the devil out of it
  4. Add venison and cook it
  5. Add more spice, in case the devil comes back :)
  6. Mix in a bowl with spinach, add dressing, and grated Parmesan cheese and nom nom nom!
