Venison Chili Spinach Salad
I recently was given 6 lbs. of ground venison from a charity, which was really nice because in some parts of Europe ground venison can cost up to €50.00 or more!
Some asked for the recipe, so here it is:
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 onion (cut)
- 1/4 lbs. ground venison
- 1 rinsed can of red kidney beans
- As much fresh spinach as you can handle
- Spices / Seasonings:
- Chili powder
- Cayenne pepper
- Black pepper
- Garlic (fresh or powdered, fresh is preferred)
- Salad dressing of your choice (I used 3-cheese ranch dressing)
- Ground or grated Parmesan cheese
Cooking Instructions:
- Melt butter in pan
- caramelize cut onion
- Spice the devil out of it
- Add venison and cook it
- Add more spice, in case the devil comes back
- Mix in a bowl with spinach, add dressing, and grated Parmesan cheese and nom nom nom!
